Wyze home security cameras are one of the most popular options for affordable, easy-to-use indoor and outdoor surveillance. If you already have a Wyze cam set up and want to add another one, the process is quick and straightforward. Here is a step-by-step guide to adding and connecting another Wyze camera:

Download the Wyze App
The first step is to download the Wyze app on your smartphone or tablet if you don’t already have it. The free app is available for both iOS and Android devices. You’ll need the app to set up and manage any Wyze cameras.
Create a Wyze Account
If you don’t already have one, create a free Wyze account within the app. Use your email address and a password. This account will be used to connect and manage all your Wyze devices.
Add the New Wyze Cam
In the Wyze app, tap on the “+” icon in the top left corner, then select “Add Device”. This will start the process of installing a new device. Select “Cameras” and choose the specific Wyze cam model you want to add.
Connect the Camera to Power
Plug your new Wyze cam into a power source using the included power adapter and cable. You can plug it into a regular wall outlet. Leave the camera on so it’s ready to connect.
Connect to WiFi
The app will have you connect the new camera to your WiFi network. Select your network name and enter the password when prompted. The camera will connect to the network through the app.
Name the Camera
Give your new Wyze cam a name to easily identify it within the app, such as “Backyard Cam” or “Front Door”. The name you give it will be displayed in the camera feed video.
Place the Camera
You can now place your connected Wyze camera wherever you want to set up surveillance. Common spots are entryways, backyards, living rooms or nurseries. Make sure the location you choose has WiFi connectivity.
View the Live Feed
With the camera powered on and connected, you can instantly view live video feed from its perspective right in the Wyze app. You’ll get alerts and can record video when motion or sound is detected.
Group Multiple Cameras (Optional)
If you have multiple Wyze cams, you can group select cameras together in the app to view all of their live feeds at the same time in one easy screen. This lets you easily switch between them.
To group cameras:
- Tap the “+” icon > “Add Device Group” > “Camera Group”
- Give the group a name
- Select the cameras to include in the group
- Tap “Done”
Now you can conveniently monitor feeds from multiple cameras at one time!
You can choose to share access to your Wyze cameras with other members of your household. To add someone:
- Go to Account > Share Devices
- Enter the person’s email address
- Choose which cameras they can access
They will get an email to accept access and can then view and manage those cameras from their own smartphone or tablet.
Adjust Settings as Needed
In the Wyze app, go into the settings menu for each camera to customize motion detection zones, schedules, notifications and more. Tweak the settings to your needs and preferences.
