Creating Segments
Follow these steps to create a segment in the Garmin Connect app:
1. Open Garmin Connect App and View an Activity
- Launch the Garmin Connect app on your phone
- Tap on the “Activities” tab at the bottom
- Select an activity that you want to create a segment from
2. Scroll to the Map and Select “Create Segment”
- Scroll down and view the map of your activity
- Tap on the “Segments” tab below the map
- Tap on the “+” icon to select “Create Segment”
3. Draw Segment and Enter Details
- Trace a path for the segment on the map
- Double tap to set the starting and ending points
- Enter a name, description and select the surface type
- Tap “Save” to create the segment
The app will automatically calculate the segment distance and elevation gain.
