Removing the Faceplate
Use a plastic pry tool to gently remove the front faceplate. This exposes the battery compartment. Be careful not to damage the faceplate.
Removing the Old Battery
Locate the battery connector inside the compartment. Gently disconnect it, then carefully slide out the old battery. Properly recycle the depleted battery.
Inserting the New Battery
Align the new, fully charged battery with the connectors and slide it into place. Ensure it is securely inserted and oriented correctly.
Reassembling
Carefully replace the faceplate and reinstall any screws. Restore power to the device. Test to ensure it powers on and functions properly.
Battery Life
- Battery life varies by model, lasting approx 6-12 months on average.
- Colder weather, more motion events, weaker wifi signal can reduce life.
- Additional batteries can be purchased as backups.
