Finding a Job
There are a few ways your Sim can find a job in The Sims 4. The easiest method is to use the phone or computer.
Using the Phone
- Open your Sim’s phone and select the “Find a Job” option. This will show all available careers.
- Browse through the list and select the one you want your Sim to pursue. They will be instantly hired!
Using the Computer
- Sit at any computer on the lot and choose the “Find a Job” interaction.
- Scroll through the list of careers and click on the one you want.
Once your Sim is employed, you can check on their job details by clicking on the career panel in the bottom right corner of the screen. This shows their next shift, performance level, tasks, and more.
Getting to Work
Sims have several options to travel to their jobs in The Sims 4:
Map Travel

- If you have Get to Work installed, Sims can open their own retail businesses or run their own bakery, restaurant, or art gallery.
- Use Buy Mode to purchase and place these store types on an owned lot to start a new venture!
