- Chromebooks do not have dedicated function keys (F1-F12) like a typical keyboard. However, the top row of keys can serve as function keys when enabled.
- To enable:
- Open Settings > Device > Keyboard > Toggle “Treat top-row keys as function keys”
- This will make the top row act as F1-F12 keys when pressed alone.
- To use the normal Chrome OS shortcuts, press and hold the Search/Everything key while pressing the top row key.
