How To Whiten Teeth and Adjust Color in Snapseed Photo App

Snapseed is a popular free photo editing app from Google that makes it easy to enhance photos with professional quality edits and effects. One of the handiest tools in Snapseed is the ability to whiten teeth and adjust the color balance of photos. With just a few taps, you can make subtle or dramatic improvements to teeth and skin tones.

Whitening Teeth

– Open Photo in Snapseed

First, open the photo you want to edit in Snapseed. You can access photos from your camera roll or import them from cloud storage.

– Select Tools Icon

At the bottom of the screen, tap on the “Tools” icon (wrench shape). This opens up Snapseed’s editing tools.

– Scroll to Find “White Balance”

Scroll down until you find the “White Balance” tool. Tap on it to open the white balance adjustment screen.

– Adjust Temperature Setting

You’ll see a scale that goes from cool (blue) to warm (yellow). Slide the dot along the scale towards the cool/blue end to brighten and whiten teeth. This removes yellow tones from the teeth.

– Fine Tune With Brush

For more precise adjustments, tap on the brush icon next to the temperature dot. This opens up a brush that lets you paint over specific areas like teeth to whiten them. Paint over the teeth with the brush to brighten just that area.

Adjusting Skin Tone

Snapseed also makes it easy to improve the color and tone of skin in your photos:

– Open Tune Image Tool

From the Tools menu, open the “Tune Image” option. This provides color adjustment sliders for brightness, contrast, saturation and more.

– Enhance Skin Tone

Drag the saturation slider to the right to enhance the rosiness and tone of the skin. Be subtle here; you don’t want faces to look too pink or orange.

– Adjust Temperature

Use the temperature slider to remove yellowness or redness from the skin. Cooler tones (bluer) can refresh dull skin while warmer tones liven up pale skin.

– Brighten Faces

Boost the brightness just a touch to illuminate faces without blowing out highlights. Often just +10 to +25 is plenty.

– Dehaze for Clarity

The dehaze slider is great for adding back contrast and details that might have gotten washed out or blurred. A little dehazing can make skin textures look crisp and clear.

Before and After Comparison

Use the side-by-side icon at the bottom to compare your edits to the original photo. This helps avoid over-editing faces. Make small adjustments and recheck to get the best results.
