How to Delete and Disable Workspaces in Notion Productivity App

To delete a workspace in Notion:

  1. Go to the “Settings & members” option in the left sidebar
  2. Click on “Settings”
  3. Scroll down and click the “Delete entire workspace” button
  4. Type in the name of the workspace to confirm and click “Permanently delete workspace”

This will immediately and permanently delete the workspace and all its contents.

The process is the same on desktop, iPad/mobile, though the interface looks slightly different. On iPad/mobile, the settings can be accessed by tapping your profile picture.

Leaving vs Deleting a Workspace

  • Leaving a workspace keeps the content intact and allows you to rejoin later. Only workspace owners can leave.
  • Deleting removes all content permanently and cannot be undone.

So if you might need the workspace again, leave instead of deleting.

Disabling Notifications

To disable notifications for a workspace:

  1. Go to your profile picture > Settings
  2. Click on Notifications
  3. Toggle off notifications for the specific workspace

This will stop you receiving notifications from that workspace.

Key Points

  • Deleting a workspace is permanent and irreversible
  • Leaving is better if you might reuse the workspace content later
  • Disable notifications to stop updates from a workspace
  • The process is the same on desktop and mobile, just a slightly different interface
