The RingCentral phone system provides various options to transfer and redirect inbound calls to ensure that calls are always answered or routed to the appropriate person. Here is a guide on how to transfer and redirect calls in RingCentral using different methods.

Warm Call Transfer
A warm call transfer allows you to speak with the transfer recipient before completing the transfer. Here are the steps:
- While on a call you want to transfer, click the Call Actions button and select Transfer
- Enter the number or name of the transfer destination and select Ask First
- Speak with the transfer recipient to provide context and ensure availability
- Select Complete Transfer to connect the two calls
Cold Call Transfer
A cold call transfer immediately transfers the call without speaking to the transfer recipient first. To do this:
- Click the Call Actions button during an active call
- Select Transfer from the dropdown menu
- Enter the desired number or name and select Transfer
Transfer to Voicemail
You can also directly transfer a call to someone’s voicemail:
- Click the Call Actions button
- Select Transfer to Voicemail
- Enter the extension number and press #
Call Flip
The Call Flip feature allows you to seamlessly transition an active call across your devices. To “flip” a call:
- Answer the call on one device
- Open the RingCentral app on another device
- Select Flip next to the active call
Forward All Calls
The Forward All Calls setting redirects all your incoming calls to another number:
- Click your profile icon > Call Rules
- Toggle Forward All Calls to enable it
- Enter the number to forward calls to
Selective Call Forwarding
Selective Call Forwarding allows you to forward calls from specific numbers to another destination:
- Navigate to Call Rules
- Create a new rule
- Enable Forward and add forwarding details
Forward When Unreachable
This feature forwards calls to another number if your phone is unreachable or offline:
- Go to Call Handling in Settings
- Turn on Forward When Unreachable
- Add the number to forward calls to
