My Experience with Steam Security
As an avid PC gamer for over 10 years, I have accumulated a sizable library of games on Steam. My account contains years worth of save files, achievements, purchases and other valuable information.
I take Steam security very seriously to protect my account. I use a unique randomly generated 20 character password just for Steam thanks to my password manager. I also have Steam Guard enabled for two-factor authentication, providing a special access code needed to login from new devices.
Recently, there was a security incident where hackers accessed Steam accounts through compromised credentials. I immediately changed my Steam password as a precaution, even though my account was not affected.
Having strong security measures in place gives me peace of mind knowing my Steam account is safe so I can continue enjoying my games. I recommend all Steam users take advantage of available security options.
