Before Removing Songs

Remove Songs from Desktop
The easiest way to delete all saved Spotify songs is by using the desktop app. Here’s how:
1. Open Spotify Desktop App
Launch the Spotify app on your Mac or Windows PC. Make sure you’re signed into the account with the library you want to remove.
2. Go to Songs View
Click on the Songs icon in the left sidebar. This will display all saved songs.
3. Select All Songs
Click the first song, then Shift + Click the last song to select everything. All songs should be highlighted.
4. Remove Songs
Right click on the selected songs. Choose Remove from Your Library. Confirm by clicking Remove to delete all selected songs.
That’s it! All saved songs have now been removed from your Spotify account.
Remove Songs from Mobile
You can also delete all your saved Spotify tracks from the mobile apps:

Alternative: Remove All Playlists
Instead of removing individual tracks, you can delete entire playlists from your library:
- Go to Playlists view
- Tap the 3 dots next to a playlist name
- Choose Unfollow to remove that playlist
- Repeat this for all playlists to remove them all
This will remove all associated tracks in one step.
Considerations When Removing Songs
- Removed songs will still appear in playlists you’ve added them to. Delete the playlists to fully remove the song.
- Other users may still have your removed songs in playlists they’ve created.
- Deleting local files from your computer does not remove them from Spotify.
- You can re-add removed songs back into your Spotify library from search or playlists. They are not permanently deleted.
