- Open WhatsApp and go to Settings > Account > Privacy
- Under “Privacy”, find the option for “Calls” or “Call permissions”
- Disable calls by toggling the switch off or selecting “My Contacts” to only allow calls from your contacts
On iPhone specifically
- Go to iPhone Settings > Notifications > WhatsApp
- Turn off Allow Notifications which will disable all notifications including calls
Using WhatsApp beta
- Install WhatsApp beta from the Play Store
- Go to GB settings > Other MODS
- Select “Disable Calls” option to turn off all calls
Additionally, WhatsApp has a new “Silence Unknown Callers” setting under Privacy that automatically blocks calls from unknown numbers or spammers.
You can also block calls from specific contacts by opening their chat, tapping on their name, and selecting “Block contact”.
Note that disabling calls is not possible on the standard WhatsApp app for Android and iOS. The above methods using WhatsApp beta or blocking contacts provide alternatives to achieve similar functionality.
