How to Download and Install Mods in Minecraft

Introduction

Minecraft mods allow you to customize and enhance your gameplay experience. With thousands of mods available, you can add new blocks, items, mobs, biomes, dimensions, and even entirely new games within Minecraft. Installing mods is easy and allows you to transform Minecraft into whatever kind of game you want.

Requirements

  3. Run the Minecraft Launcher and select the new “Forge” profile to launch your modded game.

Fabric

  1. Download the Fabric installer from fabricmc.net.

  3. Launch Minecraft and create a new profile for Fabric.

Installing Mods

To install mods:

  1. Download mod .jar files from mod websites.
  2. Open your Minecraft mods folder located at .minecraft/mods.
  3. Drag the mod .jar files into the mods folder.
  4. Launch Minecraft using your mod loader profile, either Forge or Fabric.
  5. Your mods will now be loaded into the game automatically!

Troubleshooting Mods

If you have issues running mods:
