You can add multiple devices like phones, tablets, Chromebooks etc. to your Google Play account. This allows you to easily install apps from the Play Store on those devices without having to purchase the apps again. Follow these steps:
On the New Device
- Open Settings
- Tap on Accounts or Accounts and Backup
- Tap on Add Account
- Select Google from the list
- Sign in with your existing Google account credentials
Once signed in, the new device will be linked to your Google Play account.
On the Play Store App
- Open the Play Store app
- Tap on your profile icon in the top right corner
- Tap on the drop down arrow next to your current device
- You will see a list of all devices linked to your account. Newly added devices will appear here automatically.
On the Play Store Website
- Go to play.google.com and sign in
- Click on your profile icon > Library & Devices
- Go to the Devices tab to see all linked devices
You can add nicknames to easily identify your devices here.
Limits
- You can add up to 10 devices per Google account as per Google’s policies
- To prevent unauthorized purchases, enable password protection on devices
