Kik is a popular messaging app that allows users to chat with friends, share photos/videos, and video call. Here are some tips on switching between cameras when on a Kik video call:
Front and Back Camera
- On Android devices, simply tap the camera icon in the bottom right during your video call to switch between the front and back cameras.
- On iPhones, swipe left or right on your video preview to toggle between the front and rear cameras.
Switching to Another Camera Source
- If you want to switch to another camera source besides the built-in front and back phone cameras, you likely need to disconnect from the current call and rejoin using the other video source.
- On Android, you can switch to another camera source like a USB webcam by going into your device settings. Disconnect from the Kik call, change camera device in settings, then rejoin the video call.
- On iPhone, you are limited to just the built-in front and rear phone cameras during a Kik video call. You cannot currently switch to another video source.
- Check Kik’s FAQ site or help documentation to see if any additional features have been added for switching camera sources.
