How to Tame Wildlife and Farm Animals in Fortnite Creative Mode

Fortnite Creative mode allows players to design their own islands and games within Fortnite. One of the features available in Creative is the ability to spawn and interact with wildlife and farm animals. Here is a guide on how to tame wildlife and farm animals in Fortnite Creative mode.

Spawning Animals in Creative Mode

To spawn animals in Creative mode, you need to use the Wildlife Spawner device. This can be found in the Devices menu. Place the Wildlife Spawner then interact with it to customize the settings.

You can choose which animals you want to spawn from chickens, boars, and wolves. You can also set the spawn rate, spawn limit, and spawn distance. Make sure to set a high enough spawn limit to have multiple animals on your island.

Taming Wildlife

Once you have animals spawning on your island, you can tame boars and wolves. Here are the steps to tame wildlife in Fortnite Creative:

1. Get Some Bait

You need to have some kind of food to attract wildlife and start the taming process. Chickens will automatically follow players but boars and wolves need to be baited.

Spawn some forage like cabbage, corn, or apples using the Consumables Gallery. Pick up the forage item so you have some bait ready.

2. Find a Boar or Wolf

Locate a boar or wolf roaming around your island. Slowly approach while crouched so you don’t startle them.

3. Toss the Bait

When you get close, toss your bait on the ground near the animal. Stay still and wait for them to approach and start eating.

4. Mount the Animal

While the boar or wolf is distracted with the food, walk up and mount them by jumping on their back. If done correctly, you will now be riding the animal!

Building Farms and Pens

You can build enclosures and farms to contain your animals using structures and terrain tools. Here are some tips:

  • Use the Grid Snap when building structures so the walls connect cleanly
  • Add a gate using the Door Gallery to easily access your pens
  • Customize the ground with grass, dirt and rocks so your farms look more realistic
  • Use Half Walls so you can toss food over the walls to your animals
  • Add Food Bowls and Water Troughs from the Devices menu for your animals

Place Wildlife Spawners set to chickens inside your farm areas so they don’t wander out of their pens.

Caring for Your Animals

Looking after your animals will allow you to harvest useful items from them over time. Here is how to care for livestock in Fortnite Creative:

  • Every few minutes, toss food like corn or apples into your animal pens
  • Pet your chickens, boars and wolves by interacting with them
  • Use the Item Granter device to collect items like eggs and feathers

The better you care for your animals, the more loot you will receive from them!

Using Animals

Once you’ve tamed wildlife and built farms for livestock, here are some ways to use animals in your Creative islands:

  • Make Petting Zoos: Allow players to interact with your tamed animals. Try making an animal sanctuary island.
  • Add Livestock to Farms: Populate your custom farm builds with chickens, cows and other animals. Let players harvest produce.
  • Create Rodeos: Use triggers to open gates and allow players to try and ride your wildlife. See who can stay on the longest!
  • Hunt Chickens for Food: Spawn chickens around your map for players to hunt. Or add boars and wolves as dangerous hunt targets.
  • Set Up Animal Races: Use pathing tools and triggers to set up races between your tamed animals. Have players bet on the winner!

The wildlife and farm animal mechanics add a whole new element to Fortnite Creative islands. Use your imagination to come up with unique ways to incorporate these animals into your maps!
