Hypixel Server: How to Join Your Friends in Minecraft

The Hypixel server is one of the largest and most popular Minecraft servers, with original minigames such as Bed Wars, SkyWars, and Murder Mystery. Playing on Hypixel with your friends can be a blast, but you may be wondering exactly how to join up with them. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to play with your friends on Hypixel.

Adding Friends on Hypixel

The first step is to add your friends to your friends list in Hypixel. To do this:

  1. Type /friend in the chat while on the Hypixel server. This will open the friends menu.
  2. Click the book icon to search for a friend.
  3. Type your friend’s Minecraft username and click “Send Request”.
  4. Once your friend accepts the request, you will be friends on Hypixel!

You can also accept friend requests from other players in the friends menu.

Checking Your Friends List

To see your current friends list at any time:

  • Type /social or hold the head icon in your hotbar.
  • Click the book icon at the top to open your friends list.
  • This will show all your accepted friends and their online status.

Joining Your Friends on Hypixel

Once you have added your friends, it’s time to join up with them! There are a couple ways to do this:

1. Parties

Parties allow you and your friends to join multiplayer games together on the same team.

  • To create a party, type /party create. You will become the party leader.
  • To invite your online friends, type /party invite <username>
  • Once your friends join the party, as party leader you can right click games to bring your whole party.

2. Joining Friends’ Games

You can also join a specific friend’s game directly:

  • Open your friends list and find a friend with a game next to their name.
  • Hover over the game, click “Join Game”, and you will join your friend!

3. Hypixel Housing

In Hypixel Housing, you can visit your friends’ houses and build together.

  • To visit a friend’s house, do /visit <friend's username>
  • You can also invite visitors with /invite <friend's username>

Tips for Playing with Friends

Here are some tips to improve your experience playing with friends:

  • Use Discord or other voice chat to communicate while playing
  • Set a group password for your parties so only your friends can join
  • Build a guild together to easily group up and chat
  • Try out new minigames together that you haven’t played before
