Method 1: Add Photos Using TikTok Effects
The easiest way to add a photo to your TikTok video is by using the Effects tool:
Step 1: Record Your Video
Open the TikTok app and tap the plus (+) icon to record a new video. You can record up to 60 seconds. Once finished, tap Next.
Step 2: Add Photo Effect
Next, tap on Effects at the bottom and search for “Insert Photo”. Select the effect.
Step 3: Choose Your Photo
You will then need to choose a photo from your camera roll to insert. Tap on the photo icon and select the image you want to use.
Step 4: Position and Resize the Photo
Drag the corners of the photo to resize it as needed. Hold down and drag the photo to position it where desired in the frame.
Step 5: Add More Effects (Optional)
Now you can add more effects like filters, text, stickers before posting your TikTok video. Tap Next when you’re done.
Method 2: Import Photos from Camera Roll
You can also directly import multiple photos from your camera roll instead of video clips:
Step 1: Tap the Upload Icon
Hit the upload icon (a horizontal line with a curved arrow) at the bottom right.
Step 2: Select Images
Go to the Images tab and tap on the photos you want to add to the video. Choose at least 2 images for the app to automatically create a slideshow.
Step 3: Edit the Slideshow
You can rearrange, delete or add more images. Tap on the timer icon to adjust display duration of each photo.
Step 4: Add Music, Effects, Text
Enhance your photo slideshow further by adding background music, filters, text captions or stickers.
Step 5: Post Your TikTok
Review your photo TikTok and make final edits if needed. Tap Post once you are satisfied.
Tips for Adding Photos to TikTok Videos
When importing photos into TikTok, keep these tips in mind:
