What are Meshes
Meshes are a collection of vertices, edges, and faces that make up 3D objects. In Roblox Studio, meshes allow you to create custom 3D assets beyond the basic parts provided.

- Lowest: Full detail up to 250 studs

Posing/Animating Meshes
Rigged meshes contain Bone instances allowing you to pose/animate them similarly to Blender or Maya.
To pose a rigged mesh:
- In Explorer, select the imported mesh
- Expand its child Bone instances
- Rotate the Bones to pose the model
Creating Meshes Externally
You cannot create meshes directly in Roblox Studio. Use a 3D modeling program like Blender instead:
Blender Setup
- Download Blender 3D
- Set scene units to match Roblox Studio
- Model and texture assets as needed
Exporting
- Select mesh object(s)
- File > Export > .fbx
- Configure export settings
- Save .fbx file
Importing into Studio
- File > Import into Workspace
