How To Clear Cache Data in Discord Messaging App

I have been using Discord daily for over 3 years across multiple devices. In my experience, clearing the Discord cache occasionally can fix performance issues and free up storage space.

  • Improves performance – Over time, the cached images, videos and files can accumulate and slow down Discord. Clearing the cache helps the app run faster.
  • Fixes crashes or bugs – Outdated, corrupted or overloaded caches can make Discord crash often or behave unexpectedly. Wiping the cache gives the app a fresh start.
  • Frees up storage space – Discord cache can occupy a lot of storage space unnecessarily. My Discord cache folder was over 2 GB at one point! Regular cache clearing declutters your device.
