How To Fix Amazon Photos Not Auto-Backing Up Your Images

The auto-save feature will automatically save photos and videos to your Amazon Photos account. Make sure this is enabled:

  • Open the Amazon Photos app and log into your Amazon account.
  • Go to Settings > Auto-Save.
  • Turn on the toggles for “Photos” and “Videos” to enable auto-saving for each.[1][8][21]

Check Available Storage Space

If your account is full, new photos will not save. Check your storage usage and delete photos if needed:

  • Open the Amazon Photos app and select your profile icon.
  • Choose “Your Storage” to see used and available space.[1][3][6]
  • Delete photos/videos if needed to free up room for new backups.

Uninstall and Reinstall the App

Uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version of the app can resolve issues:

  • Uninstall Amazon Photos.
  • Reinstall Amazon Photos from the app/Play Store to get the latest version.[6]

Manually Upload Photos

If auto-save fails, you can manually upload photos as a workaround:

  • Open the Amazon Photos app and tap the profile icon.
  • Choose “Upload photos manually” and select photos to upload.[6][19]

Check for App Updates

An outdated app version could cause problems. Update Amazon Photos to the latest version in the app/Play Store.[6][19]
