How to Forward Calls
Forward All Calls
To forward all incoming calls unconditionally:
- Log in to your RingCentral online account
- Go to Settings > Call Handling & Forwarding
- Click “Forward all calls”
- Enter the number you want to forward calls to
- Click Save
This will forward every call immediately to the designated number.
Selective Call Forwarding
To customize your call forwarding rules:
- Go to Settings > Call Rules
- Click “Add Rule”
- Give the rule a name
- Define conditions like time of day, caller ID, etc.
- Specify which number to forward calls to
- Click Save
You can create multiple rules to route calls differently based on various conditions.
Forward When Unreachable
To forward calls only when your phone is unreachable or offline:
- Go to Settings > Call Handling & Forwarding
- Under “When my phone is unreachable” section, click “Add Number”
- Enter number to forward to
- Click Save
This will only forward calls if your phone is switched off, out of range, or out of minutes.
Tips
- You can forward calls to international numbers
- Use a dedicated extension if forwarding a main company number
- Monitor usage if on the Light plan, as forwarding uses plan minutes
