How to Remove Red Eye Effects in Google Photos Editor

On Pixel phones, you can access features like Magic Eraser, Portrait Light, Magic Editor, Best Take, and more. These use Google’s proprietary AI and machine learning to power advanced edits.

On other Android phones, you may have access to Magic Eraser or Portrait Light depending on your device. But things like Magic Editor and Best Take are Pixel-exclusive at the moment.

On iPhone, editing features are more basic – you can access filters, basic adjustments like light/color/pop, and cropping. No proprietary Google features.

On the web, you only have access to basic edits like light adjustment, color adjustment, black point, crop, rotate, filters and not much else. None of the advanced AI-powered features are available.

So in summary – the most advanced editing lives on Pixel phones. Other Android phones have some but not all features. iPhones have basic edits. And the web has the most basic.

Google has hinted that they may bring Magic Editor to more devices “later this year” but that announcement was focused on Pixel.

There’s no indication if or when more advanced edits may come to other platforms. For now, the Pixel remains the place to go for the full Google Photos editing experience.
