Prerequisites
To stream your Apple Music library across devices, you need:
- An active Apple Music subscription
- Devices signed into the same Apple ID used for your Apple Music subscription
- Stable internet connection on your devices

Turn on Sync Library
Sync Library syncs your Apple Music across devices so you can access your library anywhere.
On iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
- Open the Apple Music app
- Go to Settings > Music
- Turn on Sync Library
On Mac
- Open the Apple Music app
- Go to Music > Settings
- Turn on Sync Library under the General tab
On Windows PC

Simultaneous Streaming
With an individual Apple Music subscription, you can only stream music on one device at a time per account. To stream simultaneously across devices, you need a Family subscription which allows streaming on up to 6 devices at once.
To upgrade to a Family subscription:
- Open Apple Music and tap your profile icon
- Tap Account Settings
- Tap Upgrade to Family Plan
With Family Sharing set up, each member can stream Apple Music simultaneously while sharing the same subscription.
Offline Downloads
For times you don’t have an internet connection, you can save Apple Music for offline playback by downloading songs, albums or playlists to your device.

- Select Download
