The PlayStation 5 (PS5) console allows you to communicate with other players through voice chat in online multiplayer games. However, you may sometimes want to mute or disable voice chat audio. Here is a detailed guide on how to do that on your PS5.

Mute Your Microphone
The easiest way to mute your microphone so other players can’t hear you is to press the mute button on your DualSense wireless controller. The mute button is located below the PS button. When muted, the light bar on your controller will turn orange. Press the button again to unmute.

Mute Specific Players

- Select the Game Base card
- Select the voice chat session you are currently in
- Select the player you want to mute
